Title: Pair of German Porcelain Wall-Mounted Holy Water Fonts, circa 1900 Description: Pair of German Porcelain Wall-Mounted Holy Water Fonts, circa 1900 A decorative pair of antique German porcelain holy water fonts, each modelled in high relief with the figure of the Ascending Christ, surrounded by swirling clouds and gilt scrollwork, with two cherubic heads adorning the font bowl below. Both pieces are hand-painted with fine detail and enriched with gilt highlights, in a style typical of late 19th to early 20th-century Continental religious porcelain. The reverse of each bears an underglaze blue mark resembling crossed swords above the letter “R” — a pseudo-Meissen mark commonly used by German porcelain factories imitating the Meissen style during this period. Dimensions: Height: 28 cm Width: approx. 13.5 cm Depth: approx. 9 cm Condition: Both in good decorative condition. One has a small chip to the rim of the font bowl; otherwise, only minor wear to the gilding and surface. No major cracks or signs of restoration. Title: Victorian Flow Blue Relief-Moulded Jug with Pewter Lid, c.1850 Description: Victorian Flow Blue Relief-Moulded Jug with Pewter Lid, c.1850 A mid-19th century English flow blue jug with its original pewter-mounted hinged lid. The white earthenware body is richly decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with scrolling foliate patterns, further embellished with gilt highlights. Relief-moulded grapevine detail appears around the handle and shoulder, a popular Victorian motif. The glaze has the characteristic blurred “flow blue” effect, typical of Staffordshire production of the 1840s–1860s. The jug sits on a short circular foot with flat base rim, unmarked but in the manner of makers such as Samuel Alcock or J. & G. Meakin. Condition The jug shows age-related crazing and some staining. Small chips and glaze losses are visible to the body and footrim (as shown), together with wear to the gilding. The pewter lid has age patination, but the hinge remains intact and functional. Executed in blush ivory ground with rich gilded detail and applied pierced gilt handles in the Aesthetic style. The painting is of a notably high standard, with delicate brushwork and fine gilt highlights. Marked to the base with the puce Royal Worcester factory mark, date code for 1887, and registered design number Rd No. 71590. Dimensions: Height: 21 cm Width: 14 cm Depth: 12 cm Condition: Sold as-is for display or reference. The vase has a significant break and loss to the upper section including the rim. No restoration. The central roundel features a stylised gilt flowerhead within a neoclassical framework. Unmarked to the reverse, as typical of the period, and likely produced by a Staffordshire or Derbyshire maker, circa 1820. Diameter: 22 cm Condition: Good decorative order. One old hairline visible to the reverse, not structurally significant. Some wear to gilding and surface speckling consistent with age. Title: Worcester Porcelain Coffee Can – Exotic Birds Pattern – c.1815–1825 Description: Worcester Porcelain Coffee Can – Exotic Birds Pattern – c.1815–1825 A fine early 19th-century English porcelain coffee can, attributed to the Worcester factory during the Flight, Barr & Barr period, circa 1815–1825. Of straight-sided form with a simple loop handle, the can is delicately hand-painted with an encircling design of exotic birds among flowering branches, set beneath a cobalt blue border with stylised gilt floral reserves. The handle bears remnants of gilt decoration, now rubbed with age. The base is inscribed with the pattern number 2767, consistent with Worcester production of this period. Condition: Good antique condition. Two old, faint hairlines can be seen from the inner rim, both under 2 cm and non-structural. A few further vague lines are visible within the body, again non-structural and stable. Some rubbing to the gilding, particularly to the rim and handle. No chips or restoration.
