Marco was born in 1974 in Perugia, the son of the renowned Italian artist Antonio Tamburro, Marco studied art, furniture design and architecture at the Istituto d‚ÄòArte, Perugia where he graduated from with Honours in Art and Furniture in 1994. Marco wished to continue his studies and moved to Milan where he went on to further study at the brera academy of fine arts where he got interested in theatre set design and photography, before making a permanent move to Rome where he graduated from the Rome Academy of Fine Arts in 1999. He has had solo exhibitions in Roma, Udine and Edinburgh, and collective exhibitions in Bari, Viareggio, Venezia, Bologna, Cannes, Padua and New York and Mexico City. His interests in theatre and photography are dominant in his work and he is forever with a paint brush or camera in hand photographing everything from derelict buildings to everyday people rushing past in the streets, to the multitude of statues and fountains of his adopted city which he then recreates as a collage on canvas from his attic studio apartment overlooking many of Romes famous historical attractions. On January 2nd, 1911, Kandinsky and other members of the Neue Kunstlervereinigung Munchen, attended a concert featuring works by Arnold Schoenberg. This painting is reality in dissolution, but still present with the grand piano, audience shapes, yellow representing irrepressible vitality and colours and sound going together. This was the first painting that he made after the concert and the word 'impression' referred to paintings that reproduced a direct expression of an internal nature. This picture is not the particular concert he heard, but his overall impression of the music performance however the central image of the painting is the black angular block representing the piano, so this particular concert is at the heart of the picture. It floats on a yellow sound. The listeners, shown as circles and arcs, are covered in the sound but at the same time are focussing on the piano. Like the Post-Impressionists, Lowry was interested in recording the nuances of everyday life, basing his work on observations of the world around him. Inspired by the industrial scenes in his hometown, Lowry would stop and sketch during the day then develop a painting such as Street Scene at home. His direct and distinctive style led art critic Jonathan Jones to call Lowry a modern primitive to be ranked alongside such artists as Henri Rousseau. A fan of its stiff consistency, Lowry painted with oil paints all of his life, using the paint straight from the tube. Just as Lowry was fascinated by capturing the quotidian, he was also quite elemental in his choice of materials. "I am a simple man," Lowry once said. During this time of shortages, scenes of waiting in queues were common. Interestingly, the shop number is the same as Lowry's house and this represents one of Lowry's gestures of light humour. In this picture Temptation appears to Saint Anthony successively in the form of a horse in the foreground representing strength, sometimes also the symbol of voluptuousness, and in the form of the elephant which follows it, carrying on its back the golden cup of lust in which a nude woman is standing precariously balanced on the fragile pedestal, a figure which emphasizes the erotic character of the composition. The other elephants are carrying buildings on their back; the first of these is an obelisk inspired by that of Bernini in Rome, the second and third are Venetian edifices in the style of Paladio. In the background another elephant carries a tall tower which is not without phallic overtones and in the clouds one can glimpse a few fragments of the Escorial, symbol of temporal and spiritual order. This painting was painted in the studio that the artist occupied for a few days next to the Colony Restaurant in New York. It is the first and the only time that he participated in a contest. It was an invitational artistic competition for a painting on the theme of the temptation of Saint Anthony, organized in 1946 by the Loew Lewin Company, a movie-producing firm. The winning picture was to figure in a film taken from the story "Bel Ami" by Maupassant. Eleven painters took part in the competition, among them Dali, Paul Delaux, Max Ernst. This painting is an example of Henri Matisse's mature decorative style. Matisse depicts his model in an exotic Moroccan costume, surrounded by a complex of abstract design and exotic colour. The Scream is the popular name given to each of four versions of a composition, created as both paintings and pastels, by the Expressionist artist Edvard Munch between 1893 and 1910. Der Schrei der Natur (The Scream of Nature) is the title Munch gave to these works, all of which show a figure with an agonized expression against a landscape with a tumultuous orange sky. This was the fourth version which was done in pastel and completed in 1895. In 2012 it was sold for $119,922,600 at Sotheby's Impressionist and Modern art auction to financier Leon Black. In his diary in an entry headed, Nice 22 January 1892, Munch described his inspiration for the image: One evening I was walking along a path, the city was on one side and the fjord below. I felt tired and ill. I stopped and looked out over the fjord the sun was setting, and the clouds turning blood red. I sensed a scream passing through nature; it seemed to me that I heard the scream.
